Structure Clearing at Rescue Speed

This course places emphasis on the utilization of small team tactics in where ONE, TWO, THREE or FOUR-MAN teams can operate independently or together in response to a sudden high intensity high stress event requiring an officer to perform at “rescue speed” in a close quarters battle environment. Tactical utilization of the flashlight and chem-lights will also be implemented during room clearing close quarters battle and team movement engagements.

Officers will be taught formations, threshold evaluations, room clearing, open space movement, stairwell maneuvering and link-up techniques. The officers will be presented with shoot/no shoot situations throughout the day as well as structure clearing and linking up with backup and/or additional responding units.

To validate the techniques and tactics taught the officers will engage in a final scenario to an officer down and to an active killer situation.
